An acclaimed and reputable flooring solutions company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service & Sampling Support Officer to work at their offices in Richmond. About the role
Utilise your exceptional Customer Service skills and fun-loving attitude to respond to customer enquiries via email and inbound calls in this exciting, busy office. Manage your own time, build quick rapport with customers and monitor orders and inventory. In addition will need to support the Sampling Coordinator when required – not limited to picking and packing samples, billing purchases.

Key d uties of the role:
- Effectively process all customer orders and samples in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer support over the phone, including detailed follow-up from order processing to delivery.
- Monitor orders and inventory position as needed to maximise service and reduce inventory and inventory handling costs.
- Assist with resolution of questions and issues for all customers, providing suggestions to satisfy customer requirements.
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner while interacting with key customers.
- Schedule deliveries for national distribution by placing bookings in online courier systems, monitoring and ensuring items have been successfully delivered.
- Process orders daily as per sampling policy for Australia and New Zealand.
- Picking and packing products, coordinating orders with international customer service teams.
- Help with billing of purchase orders from suppliers.
- Coordinate samples replenishment or returns in line with policies and set target levels, as well as ordering and distributing product launch material.
- Help the sampling team in maintaining sample storage area to ensure stock levels are at target level.
- General ad hoc duties as required, i.e. general office housekeeping and administration.
Skills & experience required:
- Customer Service, sales or other highly interactive service experience, ideally in an over the phone customer service position.
- Clear, professional and concise communication skills; written and verbal.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and computer literacy required.
- Must have proficient adaptable computer skills and basic mathematical skills.
- Must be able to bend, reach above one’s head and occasionally lift up to 16 kilos.
- Attention to detail, high levels of organisation and self-motivation required.
